Zombie Makeup

We're back! And we hope you're getting excited about Gateshead Thrill Day!

With only 3 weeks till the big event, we hope you've had a chance to dust off your dancing shoes and perfect your thrilling dance moves for Saturday 26th October 2019.

But if you're now a pro at this iconic number, you may know be thinking about what you're going to look like on the day. We know there's some of you out there who will want to get fully zombified for the event. And that's where we come in to help.

Today we're going to be sharing some links with you to basic zombie makeup tutorials that you can recreate at home for Gateshead Thrill Day. Or, you can take inspiration from the videos to create your own zombie look. Most of the products used you may own already, but if you don't you can get them from you're local high street or online, whether this be different types of makeup or a zombie makeup kit.

Our first look uses a minimal amount of makeup, so if you want to go for a simple zombie look, this could be the tutorial for you. This tutorial uses some of the most popular forms of makeup, including your everyday foundation, lipstick and eye shadow, so you can wow our fellow zombie with your chilling look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J36s6kezR78

You can also get makeup kits specially for creating zombie makeup that come with instructions. Have a look online or on your local high street for inspiration. You can even have a look at one in use in this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQKz-zPvPSo

Now, I know there will be some of you out there who love dressing up for halloween and might want to go a bit more dramatic with your look. So, check out our final tutorial on how to create realistic wounds using wax and face paints: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wAokWkpTLk
For our final tutorial, you can find products like fake blood and modelling wax on your local high street and online, however I would advise going to your local high street, especially if you have any allergies so you can check what the product contains.

Stores like Boots, Kiko and Superdrug are bound to sell many, if not all, of the products required to recreate some of these looks if you don't already have them. And you can find products like zombie makeup kits, fake blood and modelling wax at stores like Magic Box.

We can't wait to see what you create for the big event, whether you go for a simple look or want to go full zombie. We know you will look just the part for this iconic event!

Stay tuned for further information about ideas for your costume! And don't forget ...
